With the national health crisis, food debauchery, and farm exploitation suddenly jumping to headlines via RFK, Jr., numerous people have offered solutions but nothing gets to the heart of the problem.
Outstanding piece. One more reform I’ve been recommending for years, remove the FDA’s right to prevent market access with any claim. Defang the beast and you starve the beast. Snake oil will get to market for sure, but we live in an information economy and many new private standards would emerge to compete with the FDA, some focused on validating preventative measures. If a buyer needs a critical invasive device to work as advertised they may still require FDA approval to reduce risk in their minds or their private insurers minds. However, this simple reform would open the marketplace for innovation in new health directions, like towards inexpensive early detection and early diet and lifestyle interventions, including access to healthy diverse local farm produce and animal products. Removing regulatory barriers will allow for new types of financial instruments for risk mitigation, like lifetime health insurance products that reward healthy living to prevent long term risk.
I think one of the major appeals of the Trump coalition is that they propose to drastically reduce "the iceberg" - potentially with Elon Musk's assistance. Slashing the regulatory red tape - a small c conservative approach. Your ideas are fine examples of this.

I'm enjoying Christopher Cook's frame-work building for getting to good food and good farms and other desired outcomes on voluntaryist paths. https://christophercook.substack.com/p/order-operations-distributed-nation-people-principles-property
