Sayin' it don't make it so. IPR's allow innovators to recoup investment. IPR's avoid a tyranny of innovation that will occur if a property is copied and sold for pennies. With no IPRs Inventors/designers/creatives will have a short window to market the original 'product' before others appropriate their ideas and take the earnings from them. They will be forced to constantly innovate or be unable to survive. BTW, How is this substantially different from everyday theft where you have to replace missing goods? Somebody has to pay for the loss. Who will that be... the consumer or citizen? And consider this; top quality ideas require substantial time and investment... will the superior products arise in an IP protecion-free world that does not shield those investments from being raided?
