Three Years of Lockdowns

Censorship and compulsion still rule the day

Daily, even hourly, we are finding out more about the details of how the world we knew blew up. So many lives were destroyed. It all seemed to happen without much apparent opposition, or so we were led to believe. 

Even now, unvaccinated travelers are not allowed into the US and many vaccine mandates are still with us. As for masking, do you see the push for it is on again? And the censorship is still extremely tight, despite the First Amendment! 

Thanks to Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, we see evidence of how the FBI and other government agencies were effectively in control of digital speech. It started in 2016 but intensified with the onset of the pandemic from January 2020 onward. 

Looking back, it is obvious now why we had such a hard time finding each other. They not only imposed “social distancing” by force. They also throttled our ability to find others who opposed the lockdowns. This was the goal all along. 

Something like Brownstone was never supposed to exist, if they had their way. In fact, Brownstone would be shut down now if they could manage it. And there’s no question that such a campaign is underway, with growing attacks in venues that backed the lockdowns. This is no longer a surprise to us. 

All major social media apart from Twitter are still throttling our reach, attaching warning notes to articles, and sometimes just taking down posts completely. We don’t even bother with YouTube because it is wholly controlled by the same people who gave us lockdowns and vaccine mandates. 

Despite all the attempts to block our reach, we are seeing record numbers of users plus daily reprints in huge venues. We are reaching at least a million people a month and probably many times more than that we reprints and citations. 

Meanwhile, Brownstone is being called to do ever more. Our fellows program is a spectacular success but needs to be dramatically expanded. We are being called upon to produce a major and substantial alternative to World Health Organization pandemic planning. And there is a crying need for a censorship-proof database of Covid research.

There is just so much to do! But resources are very limited for what is in fact a very young nonprofit. It’s a miracle we exist all, given the odds against it. Our gratitude to donors is incalculable. In fact, the support we get is making a difference and lifting spirits the world over.
