The problems we face in production agriculture are not separate from our larger culture. An interesting narrative from the Bible starting from the garden to the present is human kinds desire to be god rather than submit to God. Another way of looking at it is through John Adams eyes,”Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.” I wonder if we can fix agriculture or any part of our failing culture without taking a look at who we have become. Greed, power and lust pretty much define our current culture and explain our present situation.
