This is such a beautifully expressed description of parenting, which in today's modernity is unfortunately no longer received wisdom, that I was loath to comment before fully gathering my reflections. I have jotted some of my thoughts down, but cannot contain the echoing overflow that "Generational Dialogue" has provoked, so I will have to write a longer piece in response.

Thank you for this condensed guide on how to reestablish connection between old & young, starting inside the family.

"Copybook excerpts" (edited)

from William Blake's "Auguries of Innocence"

To see a world in a grain of sand

And a heaven in a wild flower,

To hold infinity

In the palm of your hand

And eternity in an hour.

Who respects the infant's faith

Triumphs over Hell and Death.

Child's toys and old man's reasons

Are fruits of the two seasons.

The questioner, who sits so sly,

Shall never know how to reply.

He who replies to words of doubt

Doth put the light of Knowledge out.
