I was blessed to have read this Lewis trilogy, along with "A Wrinkle in Time", by Madeleine L'Engle, when I was 9 or 10 - courtesy of Scholastic Books. Who remembers filling out the order form from a thin pamphlet listing books, each 65 cents or less, and handing it to my teacher along with a few coins? These two books have stayed with me, and have been read and re-read a score of times. They are books for the young which do not preach or patronize, IMO. Give them to children; read them aloud. Smash the tablet!
